July 12, 2021

Students attending boarding school go through a transformative experience, learning how to be independent and developing a broader sense of global responsibility. During their time on campus, students can benefit from a wide range of activities—making the most of their location while making new friends from all over the world.

Located in Lausanne on the shores of Lake Geneva (Lac Léman), surrounded by the Swiss Alps, ENSR provides its students with a picturesque setting that nurtures their personal growth and academic development. By studying and spending time in this international environment, students gain a unique opportunity to discover new perspectives, develop new hobbies, and build new memories.

Here’s an in-depth look at the benefits of living at our private boarding school in Switzerland!

An Emphasis on Creativity and Education in a Multicultural Setting

ENSR has a long-standing reputation for providing excellence in education, with more than a century of experience in innovative teaching. Students are prompted to nurture their creativity, discovering more about the world and their surroundings through a curriculum adapted to each student’s skills and interests.

Students also benefit from a multicultural and multilingual learning environment that prepares them to become successful global citizens. In addition to learning multiple languages depending on their age (with English and French as languages of instruction), students are well-prepared to take the first steps towards their academic goals—choosing one of the two world-renowned diploma offerings: an International Baccalaureate or the Swiss Maturity Diploma.

Situated between Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) and the Alps, ENSR’s campus is a great site with 2.5 hectares of beautiful green space. The boarding house includes three floors, with rooms overlooking the stunning view of the lake and the breathtaking vista of the French and Swiss Alps. Here, students feel at home which means that they can comfortably concentrate on their studies and personal growth.

ENSR is also an ideal hub for winter and summer activities, where students can participate in cultural activities as well as a variety of sports on and off campus, for example skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, sledding in the winter and aquatic activities and an array of outdoor sporting activities in the summer.
